Abstract

TBS Television Inc. has developed Hybridcast pilot TV programs and commercial films which synchronized with the content displayed on a second screen device (e.g. tablet, smartphone) based on "Hybridcast" technical specification version 1.0 and demonstrated at Open House 2013 of NHK STRL (Science and Technical Research Laboratory). "Countdown TV CONNECT" is one of those pilot TV programs, which the viewer can sing into smartphone at the same time as the performance of the artist on that music program, and the song which the viewer sung is scored as karaoke system. On this trial, we realized precise synchronization between TV program and second screen device.
