Description

Electric field distribution in neighborhood of a forest of apartments was measured to be understood that they will change according to materials of walls. The real forest apartments were modeled for this study and reflection waves were measured as transmitting incident waves from outside of the model. The forest apartments were constituted by six apartments and each apartment was made by concrete walls. In this paper, electric field distributions around the apartments were compared by changing the location of conductive covers outside of the concrete walls. According to these comparisons, putting conductive covers on the outside walls which are close to a next apartment is effective way to lead electromagnetic waves toward the back of the apartments. Comparisons of electric field distributions around the apartments covered by conductor plates only on the walls being close to a next apartment and those around the apartments fully covered by conductor plates showed that backwards distributions were almost same, however, scattering waves to front, left and right sides became higher in the case being covered fully. Measurement data were compared with numerical data obtained by FVTD analyses and they agreed very well.
