Description

It has passed 15 years since the previous revision of the JIS A 5005 (Crushed stone and manufactured sand for concrete) : 1993. The social background has since significantly changed in a number of trends such as the development of the concrete technology, the increase of the demand and supply of crushed stone and manufactured sand, the increase of crushed stone powder which is produced accompanying with the production of the crushed stone and manufactured sand, the emerging need to address the limestone, the resource trend of the aggregate, and the dynamic trend of relational standards, etc. This latest revision was undertaken to address these changes and includes the whole review of the previous version in view of the actual circumstances. The summary of this latest revision of the JIS A 5005 specification is introduced in this paper.
