抄録

It is very important to understand hydrologic cycle in a watershed for effective and suitable use of water resources. We have been collecting hydrologic data in various experimental catchments and have reported on the characteristics of evapotranspiration from a developed farmland in the previous paper.<BR>In this paper, relationships between direct runoff and groundwater flow are discussed, considering the water budget for storms and the dynamics of groundwater flow. The results are as follows.<BR>i) Direct runoff (Qd) was mainly dependent on percolation down to the groundwater. The volume of percolation (G) was expressed by a linear equation of its duration (T'), which was dependent on rainfall and initial soil moisture deficit.<BR>G=α+gT'<BR>It was considered that parameter g should be peculiar to each experimental catchment and it should mean the percolation intensity down to the groundwater.<BR>ii) Supposing the g should be constant and using the recession coefficient of the groundwater flow (α), we derived equations to estimate the discharge of the groundwater flow component under the recharge to groundwater due to storms. The calculated discharges were in good agreement with the measured ones.
