Description
In the present paper, we proposed a new method for a general expression of characteristics with various types of jet apparatus. Up to the present, the different definitions have been used to represent the experimental results of such machines as water jet pump or pneumatic ejector. In the former case, the delivery head is an important factor and appears explicitly in pressure ratio. But in the latter case, the delivery head is not contained in the parameter because ejector always flows out to an atmospheric outside.<BR> We tried to fill up this discrepancy using the same parameter, i.e. atmospheric pressure was rewritten as delivery head for pneumatic ejector. Good results were successfully obtained by this rearrangement for these jet apparatus. <BR>In addition to it, we offered a useful design concept for jet apparatus by using new non-dimensional length and area parameters, and also obtained good results.
