The real-time transmission system of DVCPRO50/Progressive over ATM network makes it possible to transmit high quality video and audio signal of the DVCPRO50/Progressive format between distant places such as distant broadcast stations. This system will provide not only a new method of video contents exchange, but real-time relay using wide area network.
