Description
The performance evaluation of various PRML systems for (1,7)RLL code is studied with a PRML simulation system using a spinstand. The results show that PR(1,2,1,-1,-2,-1)ML, PR(1,1,1,-1,-1,-1)ML and PR(1,2,1,0,-1,-2,-1)ML systems exhibit good performance, and among them, PR(1,2,1,0,-1,-2,-1)ML system has the best performance in high density recording.
