In China, the related works of Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature such as The series books of Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature with preserving catalogue, The Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature of having been prohibited or ruined, The continuation books of Complete Library in the Four Branches of Literature were published from the 1990's to the early 2000's. Firstly, the factors and circumstances of the publications are examined. Secondly, the publication projects are analyzed from broad cultural viewpoints. Consequently, the following are revealed. 1) The activities to arrange and publish classics are necessary to preserve them and pass them down in China. 2) Classics are a base of Chinese culture, and fill the important role to form and unify Chinese nation.
