Abstract
Magnetic domain pattern of thin film with the perpendicular magnetic anisotropy can be observed by a polarizing microscope with a halogen or high-pressure mercury light source. However, it is difficult to measure the magneto-optical M-H hysteresis curve of the film by the microscope. Because, the halogen and mercury lamps are not stable and include much light noise. We noticed this fact and developed a new system capable of both domain observation and tracing of M-H loop by replacing the halogen lamp with a high-power white LED light panel. And we succeeded in the measurement of noise-free magneto-optical M-H loop of a magnetic garnet thin film.
