Description
Recently, many brutal crimes have shocked us. The importances of security and self-defense have increased more and more. Detection of suspicious persons is considered important for the office security and home security. Therefore it is necessary to develop an automatic method of checking suspicious persons. In this paper, we propose a method of detecting suspicious persons using the internet camera.<br>First, an image sequence is obtained by the internet camera. By using these images, the recognition of suspicious persons is carried out. Our method classifies the condition of the target person into 3 postures: walking, staying and sitting. When the target person sits down, the camera is zooming in the target person. The system recognizes the suspicious person by evaluating two features which are the value of suspicious and normal. Some experimental results using a simple experimental system are also reported, which indicate effectiveness of the proposed method.
