Abstract
Most of watermarking methods are either robust watermarking for copyright protection or fragile watermarking for tamper detection. In this paper, we propose a watermarking method which has both robustness against image processing and ability of detection of tampering. In the proposed method, three wavelet coefficients are treated as a vector and one bit of a watermark is embedded into the vector by using order relationships among three coefficients. The number of order relationships is six, while only two patterns of relationships are needed to represent one bit of a watermark. Our method does not need an original watermark to detect tampering because order relationships which are not assigned to a watermark bit are used for tamper detection, and it is possible to keep robustness against image processing by using majority logic. Simulation results show that the proposed method has good result of robustness and detection of tampering.<br>
