抄録

Generally the air gap length of the magnetic circuit is shorter than the iron core length like, for example, the case of many electric machines. So the analysis to get the magnetic characteristics is easy and resembles the electric circuit analysis very closely. When the gap length is considerably longer than the iron core length, it is difficult to use the usual method in which that this magnetic circuit is called "the open magnetic circuit". If to replace the open magnetic circuit with a semi-closed magnetic circuit is possible, it will become possible to use the usual anaysis method. In this report, one attempt of the conversion of a typical open magnetic circuit in a semi-closed magnetic circuit is described.
