Description

The Annual Report of Statistics on Japanese Nationals Overseas published by the Foreign Ministry says that the number of Japanese who live abroad exceeds more than one million. On the other hand, with the increasing numbers of Japanese living overseas, a correspondent increase in the number of suicides has also been observed. In fact, the number of suicides exceeds the number of traffic-related fatalities. And yet, no mechanism for counseling Japanese living overseas has been established. The need for counseling for Japanese living overseas is growing, and the development of a counseling system that can be accessed through the Internet is particularly desirable. We have carried out collaborative research with a clinic regarding this online counseling system. In this paper, we report the analysis of a questionnaire for GUI for online counseling system, including factors such as usability, design, satisfaction and so on. Moreover we show an online counseling system overview that is obtained after applying the results of a questionnaire for the prototype system. (165word)
