Abstract
The purpose of this study is to develop a new bubble curtain type of oil fence to protect the natural environment and the naval plants from oil pollution. The bubble curtain decreases the intensity of wave motion, and restrains the waves passing over an oil fence body. Flow visualization technique including image analysis is a very effective tool to find the governing factors to decrease the waves by using air bubbles. The present paper reports the applicability of the bubble curtain type of oil fence after the trial research and development.<BR>and then can prevent oil lumps from passing over and under the fence.
