Description
In this paper, a method for identifying individuals using facial image in the 3/4 view is proposed. In the proposed method, the grating pattern is projected on the face from the projecter in front of the face. The large range of one side of the face is obtained by the CCD camera which is set at an angle to the face. When we set the CCD camera like this, the effective information is able to be obtained from the large region of one side of the faces, the information of nose height which is one of three dimensional facial information and the cheek undulation which is part of the outline of their profiles. The experiments is performed to demonstrate the efficacy of proposed method and the experimental results are shown.
