Abstract
We pay attention to the effects of the retaining warmth in clothes which comes from adsorption and desorption of water vapor in the steady state region. Our experimental results show that a fiber material with adsorption and desorption has more heat-retaining effect, that is, higher temperature or larger temperature difference than a fiber material without adsorption and desorption for steady state region of heat conduction and water-vapor diffusion. In this study, we attempt to the numerical analysis to clarify the mechanism of this phenomena using the adequate analytical model. Numerical results show the same qualitative tendency assuming the remaining of the adsorption and desorption effect only at the front and back side of sample, even when the inner part of sample have been reached adsorption equilibrium.
