Abstract
A new method for determining more appropriate cultivation regions, seasons and varieties of vegetables that are grown outdoors is developed. First in this method, prediction equations of development stage are decided from the cultivation cases of the localities, and the range of climatic conditions encountered at segmented various development stages are determined. Next, the possibility of the cultivation of the object case is evaluated from the comprehensive relationship of the climatic conditions at the development stages. If the Internet providing this evaluation service by our new method is accessed, the results of evaluation can be obtained in 30 seconds for any district from Hokkaido to Kyushu. At present, evaluation is possible for 167 varieties of 5 types of vegetables (cabbage, Japanese radishes, Chinese cabbages, onions, and spinaches).
