Abstract
Sixty bovine carcasses were histopathologically examined in Saitama Prefecture from April to November 1997 for Sarcocystis cruzi cysts in the striated muscles. The prevalence of S. cruzi cysts was the highest in the cardiac muscles, though the cysts were detectable in all the striated muscles examined.
