Abstract

An eight-year-old spayed female Labrador retriever with heamaturia and an enlarged left kidney underwent nephrectomy to treat a suspected renal tumor. The surgically resected left kidney was diagnosed with extraskeletal osteosarcoma. The dog was treated with carboplatin postoperatively and has been in good condition throughout the 248-day postoperative period, with neither local recurrence nor distant metastasis.
