Abstract

Embryogenesis in Brassica varieties was investigated using histochemical methods for the demonstration of nucleic acid and polysaccharides. The embryo contained high levels of nucleic acid during the growth. Polysaccharides were recogni-zed in all stage of the embryogenesis.
