抄録

Some aspects of the vibration with tooth separation due to a steplike pitch error, which is the extreme one of the various pitch errors, are studied experimentally and theoretically on the spur gears on which the light load is applied and which are used at a low rotational speed. And it is tried to estimate the chracteristics of the steplike pitch error and the amplitude of the vibration with tooth separation with the use of a method of error vector diagram. In addition a pitch error like a sine wave is studied theoretically with the help of the results obtained on the steplike pitch error. Thus the followings are obtained.<BR>(1) The vibration with tooth separation, which grows as the rotational speed, appears at a steep increasing slope of the steplike pitch error. And the one which does not grow appears at a steep decreasing slope. These vibrations are equivalent to those due to a relative tooth profile error like a saw tooth wave.<BR>(2) The method of error vector diagram, which was obtained from the studies on the relative tooth profile error, can be applied on the steplike pitch error. The amplitude of the vibration with tooth separation due to the steplike pitch error can be estimated with the use of this method.<BR>It is necessary to study on the pitch error which varies irregularly every teeth, because the method of error vector diagram cannot be applied on the irregular pitch error.
