Description
The purpose of this study was to examine the thermoregulatory responses at farming under heat environmental conditions in the middle and elderly aged men. The results showed the following. Heart rate at the farming in the middle and elderly group was significantly higher than that in young group. The increase of body temperature at farming in the middle and elderly group was significantly higher than that in young group. Total sweating rate at farming in the middle and elderly group was significantly lower than that in young group. Fluid supply at farming in the middle and elderly group was significantly lower than that in young group. Sodium chloride concentration and loss of sweating at farming in the middle and elderly group were significantly higher than that in young group.
The results revealed that in thermoregulatory responses in the middle and elderly aged men led to a high risk of heat disorders. Therefore, it is essential for the middle and elderly aged men to perform sufficient water and salt replacements as a preventive strategy against heat disorder at farming under heat environments.
