抄録

Population study about serum transaminase (GOT, GPT) was carried out on the 2000 subjects who were living in Toshi Island, Mie Pref. Japan. From the data, sex and age factors related to serum transaminase (GOT, GPT) were studied. The results were following. <BR>1) The mean value of GOT, GPT was higher in male than in females in almost age group. <BR>2) In both sex, GOT and GPT had significant correlation with age. <BR>3) Especially the mean value of GOT, GPT was higher in male than in female among the age of 25th to 50th. <BR>4) Both GOT, GPT showed lognormal distribution in eath sex and age group. Specially, the pattern was more dominant among younger than aged group. <BR>These results suggested that sex and age factors strongly influenced to the serum transaminase level in healthy subjects.
