Description
We carrried out closed patch testing on 35 patients with skin diseases for skin safety evaluation of KPT-220 an anodyne poultice containing 2% ketoprofen.<BR>The following materials were tested KPT-220, KPT-220 vehicle, Dries® (an OTC anodyne poultice containing 1-menthol and glycol salicylate).<BR>The skin irritant index of KPT-220 15.7, KPT-220 vehicle 25.7, Dries®32.9 and white petrolatum 8.6.<BR>No adverse reactions were observed with KPT-220 and KPT-220 vehicle.<BR>The results showed KPT-220 was a safeanodyne poultice.
