A Case of Contact Dermatitis due to Siseptin Eye Drop and Ecolicin Ophthalmic Ointment.

Description

We experienced a case of allergic contact dermatitis due to Siseptin® eye drop and Ecolicin® ophthalmic ointment. A 52 year-old man had used Siseptin® eye drop and Ecolicin® ophthalmic ointment after an operation for the cataract of the right eye. He had swelling and pruritic erythema around his right eye. Patch test including each components of the eye drop and the ointment were carried out. Positive reactions were obtained to Siseptin® eye drop, sisomicin sulfate, Ecolicin® ophthalmic ointment, colistin sodium methanesulfonate, and erythromycin lactobionate. He was diagnosed as allergic contact dermatitis due to those components.
