Description

We report four cases of BCC on the nasal tip or the dorsum of the nose reconstructed with axial frontonasal flap. We should take enough surgical margin at the resection of BCC for its local destructive character. Because of its characteristic skin feature and the three-dimensional construction of the nose, the technical devises for post-resectional reconstruction are needed. The axial frontonasal flap, whose pedicle involves a branch of the angular artery, consists of the rotation flap on the dorsum of the nose and V-Y advancement flap on the forehead.This surgical technique is convenient for reconstruction of nasal skin defect especially on high risk patients, because of its relative easy procedure, constant blood flow and lesser damage to the patients.
