説明

The patient was a 23-year-old female, who had comedones, cystomas and postinflammatory scars almost contralaterally on the face, and systematically in clumps on the area ranging from the outer canthus through the anterior part of the ear; similar eruptions in linear arrangements on the abdomen and the dorsal median part as well as on the flexion side of lower extremities; and depigmented nevi on both arms and the sacral region and nevi spilus on the right scapular region which were present along the Blaschko line. She had strabismus. From about 19 years of age she had attacks of jamais vu and absence, and was diagnosed as having epilepsy by electroencephalography. She was also noted to have mental retardation. From these findings, we reported this patient as the first case of Engber's nevus comedonicus syndrome in Japan. As in cases of nevus sebaceus syndrome and epidermal nevus syndrome, those in which comedo-like eruptions are seen extensively and systematically from birth require the long-term follow-up observation and close examination as the cases of neurocutaneous syndrome.
