Abstract

1) 神経芽細胞腫早期発見のために採尿が比較的容易な3歳児(18293名)および幼稚園児, 保育所の小児(564名)に対して尿中VMA spot testによるmass screningを行った.それぞれ, 190名, 11名が陽性であったが, いずれもfalse positiveであった.2) 尿濾紙郵送法により43名のhigh risk group(神経芽細胞腫を疑わせる何らかの症状のある小児)をしらべ, 3例陽性でそのうち2例は神経芽細胞腫であった.3) VMA spot testによるmass screeningで発見された2例の経過を略記した.4) 本法のようなmass screeningを最も発生頻度の高い乳児期に, 早急に実施することが必要である.
