Description

Although vaginal discharge is a relatively common genital symptom in females, foreign bodies are not often the cause. The patient, a 5-year-old female, presented with vaginal discharge, which was caused by foreign bodies. Correct diagnosis had been never made in several hospitals for one and a half years. We examined her and completely removed foreign bodies by foeceps and rectal maneuver under general anesthesia. Extracted foreign bodies were three marbles, a pair of doll's shoes, 7 plastic beads, and a piece of wrapping paper. The vaginal discharge dramatically improved after removal.
