Description

Shirasu is kind of sand including fine powder and amorphous silica, both property of fine aggregate and mineral admixture. To utilize Shirasu as industrial resource, gravity concentration is effective. Shirasu is differentiated to crystal mineral easily, and also sieve classified is valid to separate amorphous silica. This paper report fundamental experiment about differentiated crystal used as fine aggregate, and about sieve classified powder used as mineral admixture. Especially, sieve classified Shirasu powder crushed to 1μm have high performance as mineral admixture.
