Description
In evaluation of durability of the concrete structures, it is important to understand the behavior of liquid water in pores in order to predict the deterioration caused by water. In this paper, it is discussed how mix proportion and curing condition affect the behavior of liquid water in concrete, using the apparent contact angle as a chemical indicator and the threshold radius as a physical indicator. As a result, it is indicated that the difference of chemical property by the kind of admixture affect scarcely the behavior of liquid water in concrete and physical property such as pore structure dominates the behavior of liquid water.
