Description

If the calcium hydroxide by-product and the quartz rock with comparatively high purity are selected, 2CaO・SiO2(C2S) can be obtained because of burning the rotary kiln. The scorch point temperature was 1,450℃. Moreover, even if a special operation was not done during cooling, C2S was able to be obtained. The amount of the CO2 emission when C2S was manufactured from the calcium hydroxide by-Product and the quartz rock became 124.5kg-CO2/t, and usually reached a large value in the case of portland cement. If C2S obtained from the calcium hydroxide by-product and the quartz rock is carbonation, CO2 450kg are reducible to 1 t-C2S. If all of 210,000 t-calcium hydroxide by-product are employed for this use, CO2 of 105,000 t are reducible.
