Description

A thirteen-year-old girl visited the emergency department with lower abdominal pain. At the initial visit, she was diagnosed with constipation. Since her symptom persisted, she presented to the pediatric department two days later. An abdominal MR image revealed a cystic lesion in the pelvic space. Laparoscopic exploration was performed and torsion of the left fallopian tube was discovered. Laparoscopic salpingectomy was performed. Torsion of the fallopian tube in an adolescent girl is very rare. We report a case of torsion of the fallopian tube managed laparoscopically.
