Description
Myelolipoma is a benign tumor mostly found in the adrenal gland incidentally by imaging. It is nonfunctional, and seldom leads to a clinical diagnosis. Follow-up observation is indicated, but excision is reserved for tumors over a certain size, which is still under discussion, and those that grow during a period of observation.<br>A 72-year-old man was transferred to our hospital with a diagnosis of myelolipoma in the right adrenal gland. We performed laparoscopic right adrenal resection, which took 135 minutes with slight bleeding. The tumor was not invasive and did not require a complex and extensive operation. Therefore, a laparoscopic approach could be considered.
