Abstract
This manuscript indicated that 1) Psychosomatics and Nursing are expected to provide bio-psycho-social support to patients who have palliative care needs ; 2) Cancer Control Act and Basic Plan to Promote Cancer Control Programs (2007) made a goal "Reduction of burden and improvement of quality of life among cancer patients and their families" ; 3) Our study showed that there is a statistically significant correlation between the presence of psychological symptoms at the time of discharge and home death among terminal cancer patients. Based on this result, we suggested that our urgent task is building psychological care systems both in hospital and at home ; 4) Collaborative works between Psychosomatics and Nursing are expected to build hospital and home psychological care systems.
