Description
Although steroid ointments produce a dramatic immediate effect, the effect is temporary and long-term use is associated with the appearance of a multitude of side-effects, and actually hinders treatment. There have also been recent reports that Vaseline, which is used to prevent dry skin, can be damaging to the skin.<br>Shinsentaitsuko (Japan Pharmacopeia), on the other hand, does not produce the side-effects associated with steroid ointments, and was found to have a cure rate of 98.1%
