抄録

Tumoral calcinosis is a rare disease, named by Inclan in 1943, that is characterized by periarticular calcification. We have recently treated a patient with this disorder surgically. A seven-year-old boy was seen in August 1981, complaining of progressive swelling in the right foot, which had been present for twelve months. On examiantion, a firm, non-tender mass, two centimenters in diameter, exuding a milky fluid, was observed. During the operation the exposed mass lay immediately under the subcutaneous tissue and closely attached to the fascia. There has been no evidence of recurrence for twelve months after the operation.
