抄録

In 1943, Inclan described three cases which had large, calcific masses in the region of major joints.<br>In 1899, Duret published the original account of this disease for the first time.<br>Our case, sixty aged woman complained of a lump in the posterior part of the left shoulder in Feburary, 1970.<br>Characteristic findings of this disease are large, painless, calcfied masses in juxta-articular sites predominantly on extensor surfaces, particularly around the elbow and hips. There is no elevation of the serum calcium or phosphorus and no associated renal disease in this disease. There is evidence of familial or racial predisposition.
