説明

During the years 1978 to 1992,37 larvae and 59 nymphs of Ixodes nipponensis and seven larvae of Ixodes persulcatus were collected from 34 of the small reptile, Takydromus tachydromoides captured in the northeastern part of Honshu, Japan. The cases of immature I. nipponensis fed on reptile were recorded in Aomori, Akita, Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima Prefectures. In a case in Aomori Prefecture, five larval and one nymphal I. nipponensis mingled with seven larval I. persulcatus on the same host. The engorged larvae of I. persulcatus detached from the host in this case molted to nymphs successfully.
