Abstract
北スマトラ, アサハン県の海岸平坦地域で1987年12月から1988年3月の間に8回, 人おとり法によって採集されたAn. sundaicusは合計820匹で, そのうち205匹にArrenurus sp.の幼ダニが寄生していた。蚊の採集場所周辺の水域(塩分濃度0.4∿1.1%)はAn. sundaicus幼虫とともにこのダニの発生源と考えられた。調査期間を通じてダニが寄生していた蚊の97%は未経産であった。未経産蚊1個体あたりのダニ寄生数の頻度分布は負の二項分布で表示することができた。ダニの寄生率(X%)と経産率(Y%)との間には負の相関が認められ, Y=74.705-1.186X (r^2=0.753,df=6,p<0.01)なる回帰式が得られた。回帰式により経産率を推定したところ, いずれの調査日における値も, 解剖により得られた経産率の95%信頼区間内にあった。蚊を一匹ずつ解剖して経産率を求めるには多大な労力を必要とするが, この簡便な方法を用いることにより敏速に経産率を推定できると考えられた。
