説明

Diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy, especially atypical one, is often to be difficult even if supplementary methods of diagnosis are combined.<br>In those cases requiring confirmation of pregnancy, the usual pregnancy tests, e. g. Gonavislide, Planotest, etc. are for determination of relatively high urinary levels of HOG, so that negative pregnancy is often indicated with these reagents.<br>Those negative cases were further investigated by using a reagent for lower HOG determination (Hi Gonavis).<br>As a result, the usage markedly elevated the rate of positive diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy to 95.8% (46 out of the total 48 cases), supplying a reliable ground for establishment of the diagnosis.<br>Accordingly, when the usual pregnancy tests have given negative results in the cases where ectopic pregnancy was suspected, further examination by determining lower HOG is needed.<br>It might lead to more accurate diagnosis.
