抄録

A total of 30 patients, consisting of 15 adults and 15 infants with various otolaryngological infections were treated by Cepol dry syrup with good results.<BR>Sensitivity tests performed on the cultured organisms from the foci of infections showed a sensitivity rate of about 70% to Cepol. This drug was also found to be effective for some cases where AB-penicillin was not effective.<BR>One gram of Cepol dry syrup (Cephalexin or CEX) contains 100 milligrams of CEX.<BR>A high boold concentration of this drug after oral ingestion and rapid excretion in the urine have been confirmed in previous studies. In order to maintain the necessary blood concentration a dosage of 50mg/kg. body weight per day is adequate, in divided doses, 4 times before meals and sleep.
