- その (1) 容貌と美容的欲求との関係
Abstract
In order to find out the relationship between the desire for cosmetics and character, mainly centering around the external nose, the investigations were conducted through enquete on 266 girls' students at a certain dress-making school, from which the following results were obtained:
1. Although not fully satisfied with their own features, more than half of the students were either not too mindful or did not express dissatisfaction.
2. Among those who expressed dissatisfactions, the majority pointed out the external nose, the symmetry of the feotures as a whole, the complexion and the shape of the eyes.
3. With respect to external nose, most of the students indicated the fact that their noses were too low or round in shape.
4. As to the relationship between the interest in their features and their character, it was noted that there existed a neurotic tendency in those who expresed dissatisfaction of their feature.
