Abstract
In order to charge the battery which is necessary for totally implantable artificial heart, transcutaneous transformer was made. A couple of cored coil formed transformer which coupled the electric power (5W in practical use, 20W peak) by being drived with switching pulses. Its total efficiency was 10-40% and coil-to-coil efficiency was 40-80%.
