Description
In cardiac operation, bubble oxygenater (Shiley S100A) and roller pump (group 1), membrane oxygenater (Capioxl II) and centrifugal pump (Bio pump)(group 2) and Shiley S100A and pulsatile roller pump (group 3) were respectively used in 9 patients, 12 patients and 10 patients. There was no significant diference about renal function between group of pulsatile flow and nonpnlsatile flow. The value of plasma free hemoglobin (Hb) concentration of group 2 and 3 were higher than that of group 1. Group 2 was divided into two groups. One was group 2-a which occurred hematuria in the early time of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and the other was group 2-b. The value of free Hb concentration of group 2-a was high, compared with that of group 2-b. Perfusion pressure during CPB of group 2-a was higher than that of group 2-b. It was suggested that there was no diference among three systems of heart lung machine for usual open heart surgery. On using system of heart lung machine of group 2, α-blockade had better be administrated because of the prevention of hemolysis.
