Description
Collagenous materials crosslinked with polyepoxy compounds show the favorable chracteristics in mechanical property and in biocompatibility, which are pliable, flexible and strong more than natural tissue, and good biocompatibility. Polyetylene glycol diglicidyl ether, polyglycerol polyglycidyl ether and sorbitol polyglycidyl ether were used for the reaction in 50% methanol solution. It is concluded from the measurement of mechanical propery and in vivo study that polyepoxy compounds is superior to glutaraldehyde as crosslinking agent.
