Description

Keratoakanthoma is a benign lesion of epithelial hyperplasia originating from the surface epithelium. This lesion is frequently mistaken for squamous-cell carcinoma because of its similar clinical and microscopical appearances.<br>Intraoral lesions are quite uncommon, only three cases have been reported for the past 20 years in Japan. A case of K. A. occured on the mandibular gingiva in 7 year-old girl was presented.
