抄録

Concerning the cause of sinobronchitis, following experiments were performed to confirm “the pus absorption theory. ”<BR>Moliodal, a contrast media, intilled into the maxillary sinus was found descending into the trachea in 8 cases out of 50 children and 8 cases out of 25 adults.<BR>It is therefore conceivable that the choanal discharge incident to para-sinusitis may gain entrance into the trachea in the daytime as well as during the sleep and this causes secondary infection resulting in bronchits and bronchoectasis. For this reason the treatment of para nasal sinusitis in children should not be lightly considered.
