Authors report theree cases of drowned lung: one in a child and two in adult.<br>According to the authors the concept of drowned lung seems to vary among internists and other specialistis. Bronchoscopic treatment for this condition should not be considered simple. Authors emphasize the importance for general practitioners to acquaint themselves with the true nature of this serious condition.
