抄録

Schwannoma is rare occurreuce as a beneign tumor arising primary in larynx.<BR>A 23 years old woman who visited the hospital writh complaint of dyspnea and hoarseness, was found to have a large tumor in the larynx which occupied half of the cavity.<BR>The tumor was incised after opening into the hypopharynx, and it was found that the tumor had sprung from aryepiglottic fold.<BR>The tumor was smooth, elastic, hardand quail's egg size, and the histological examination showed that it was neurinoma, that is to say, shwannoma.<BR>The patient maintained a normal laryngeal function without disturbance in swallowing althongh the epiglottis was incised from its root.
